U.K clock repairs are a professional family run antique clock repair and cleaning company with over 20 years experience which started as a hobby collecting clocks, we eventually started to deal in clocks and also studied repairing them, when we were confident and gained enough experience and knowledge we then started offering our services to the public. We are located in the small valleys of South Wales Aberdare. We cover Cardiff, Swansea, Mumbles, Penarth, Bridgend, Brecon, Rhondda And the rest of wales. At UK clock repairs we offer variety of different clock services from your basic oil service to your full strip and clean service, all our clock repairs and services are very competitive and affordable. we will run you through the different options upon enquiry and give you a quote, the price will not change at all so you will have piece of mind that there will be no hidden or unexpected costs at the end.
Your timepiece should really be maintained regularly to make sure it runs at its optimum performance, we recommend having your clock fully serviced every 3 - 5 years and an oil service every 2 years in doing this you can be sure your clock will run as smoothly as the day it was made.
if your clock has stopped this could be from a number of different reasons from simply being out of beat or something more advanced like a worn pivot hole that will need rebushing, always seek advice from a professional so they can advise you the best steps going forward to get your timepiece running again. please do not put wd40 or other 3 in one oil on your clock to see if that will fix the problem as this will almost guarantee make the clock worst than what it already is, it may fix the problem short term but will not make the original problem go away.
Your are more thank welcome to bring your timepiece to uk clock repairs at anytime. if you are not able to bring your clock not to panic we offer a free collection & delivery service for the whole of south and mid wales with all our clock services.
we cannot give an exact time your timepiece will be with us, we can however give you an estimate and will regularly keep you up to date with its progress. we more than certainly will have other projects going that we have had longer which will need to be completed, we cannot jump ques or give anyone special treatment in order to finish their clock first, all our projects are run through a system by order.

Warranty

  • We offer a 12 month warranty on all full services (not part repairs or oil services) which is extended to 24 months if client has us to undertake a lubrication service at 12 months
  • Warranty starts from date of invoice and covers parts and labour with the exceptions stated below
  • Warranty is not transferable and only applicable to the original transaction

The following are excluded from our warranty:

  • Cost of repair or replacement Mainsprings, broken wheels & teeth caused by mainspring breaking after service
  • Repair or replacement of weight cables, gut or chain
  • Repair or replacement of broken hands
  • Replacement of broken glass
  • Accidental damage or damage caused by misuse of the clock, unreasonable winding force
  • Failure due to metal fatigue of old parts and any damage caused thereby
  • Evidence or tampering with work undertaken by UK Clock Repairs by a third party either in the trade or not unless we have designated that person to do so
  • Initial setting up issues including a suitable place for the clock, getting clock into beat so it continues to tick, winding the clock and any other setting up issues where the extra delivery & Setup service as not been taken up by the client. Where this service has not been taken up by the client then any call out resulting from setting up issues will incur a standard call out fee
  • Any further setup callouts after 1 week of clock working fine will be charged extra
  • Final timekeeping and regulation are the responsibility of the owner because of temperature variables. All clocks are regulated at the workshop however will almost certainly need slight adjustment when setup after a few days. Good timekeeping for an antique clock is said to be anywhere within 10 minutes per week
